Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching three new Vande Bharat Express trains on Saturday. Out of these three trains, two will be running in the Southern Railway zone. The new trains will travel between the following routes:

Chennai-Nagercoil and Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express
The train from Chennai Egmore station will start its journey at 5 am and is expected to reach Nagercoil by 1:50 pm. On the return trip, the train will leave Nagercoil at 2:20 pm and arrive back at Chennai Egmore by 11 pm the same day. If you choose to travel in the chair car, the ticket will cost Rs 1,760.
If you prefer more comfort, the executive chair car is available for Rs 3,240. Both fares include the cost of meals provided during the journey.
In addition to this, there’s another Vande Bharat Express service that runs between Madurai and Bengaluru Cantonment. This train, numbered 20671/20672, operates six days a week, taking a break on Tuesdays. The train will make stops at several stations along the way, including Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, and Krishnarajapuram.
According to the Southern Railways schedule, the train will leave Madurai Junction at 5:15 am and reach Bengaluru Cantonment by 1 pm. For the return journey, the train will depart from Bengaluru Cantonment at 1:30 pm and arrive back in Madurai by 9:45 pm. The fare for the chair car on this route is Rs 1,575, while the executive chair car costs Rs 2,865, both of which also include meals.
Southern Railways is currently the leader in India when it comes to operating Vande Bharat Express trains, with a total of six trains in service, the most among all railway zones in the country.
