ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023
The ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023 is set to kick off from December 8 to December 17 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is organizing this youth cricket tournament, featuring eight teams in a total of 15 ODI matches.
The participating nations include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, which are the five full members of the ACC. Additionally, Japan, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) earned their spots by finishing among the top three in the ACC Men’s Under-19 Premier Cup.
The eight teams are divided into two groups, with Group A comprising Afghanistan, India, Nepal, and Pakistan, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka, and the UAE. Each team will face the others in their group once, and the top two teams from each group will proceed to the semi-finals.
The semi-final winners will compete in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023 final on December 17. All matches will be held at the ICC Academy Ground, ICC Academy Ground No 2, and Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India, the defending champions, won the 2021 final against Sri Lanka and are the most successful team in the tournament’s history with eight titles in nine editions. Notably, in 2012, India and Pakistan shared the trophy after a tied final match in Kuala Lumpur. Afghanistan also claimed victory in 2017.
