A case has been filed against Suraj Revanna, who is a member of Janata Dal (Secular) and the brother of Prajwal Revanna, a former MP. The case accuses Suraj of sexually assaulting someone. This complaint was made at the Holenarasipura police station in Hassan district.

The man claimed that Suraj Revanna threatened him, saying he was alone in the farmhouse and didn’t understand the influence of his family. He alleged that Suraj then sexually assaulted him, after which he promised to support his political growth in the district. Later, the man texted Suraj about the incident, to which Suraj responded reassuringly, “Don’t worry, everything will be fine.”
Earlier, on Saturday, Suraj Revanna and his friend Shivakumar had lodged a complaint. They alleged that they were being blackmailed by two individuals who falsely accused them of sexual assault. Shivakumar stated that initially, a man befriended him, claiming financial difficulties and seeking assistance in finding a job. Shivakumar agreed to introduce him to Suraj during the Lok Sabha elections.
Threats and Allegations Surrounding Revanna’s Farmhouse Visit
On June 17th, a man named Shivakumar went to Revanna’s farmhouse to ask for a job, but Revanna turned him down. Upset by this, Shivakumar allegedly threatened to harm Revanna’s reputation by telling the police that Revanna had sexually harassed him, unless Revanna paid him Rs 5 crore.
This happened shortly after Prajwal Revanna, a former JD(S) MP, was sent to jail by a special court in Bengaluru. He was arrested when he came back from Germany on May 31st, after SIT officials caught him.

Earlier today, a JD(S) supporter and his relative were accused of attempting to extort money from party MLC Suraj Revanna. They allegedly threatened to accuse him of sexual assault falsely.
The incident unfolded when Shivakumar, a close aide of Suraj, filed a complaint leading to an FIR against Chethan K S and his brother-in-law. In retaliation, Chethan filed a police complaint accusing Suraj Revanna of sexual assault.
According to Shivakumar’s complaint, Chethan initially befriended him and joined Suraj Revanna’s group. Later, Chethan allegedly demanded money for his family’s expenses. When his request was denied, he threatened to accuse Suraj of assault. Initially, Chethan demanded ₹5 crore, which was later reduced to ₹2 crore. These accusations have triggered a legal battle between the parties involved.
