Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru has successfully undergone a recent “brain surgery” and is now on the path to recovery, as announced by the Isha Foundation. According to the foundation’s statement on Wednesday, Sadhguru had been experiencing intense headaches for the past four weeks.

Sadhguru had been grappling with severe headaches for a span of four weeks, but matters took a serious turn on March 14, 2024, upon his arrival in Delhi. Prompted by the escalating intensity of his symptoms, he underwent an urgent MRI later that same day.

The MRI results painted a concerning picture, indicating not only ongoing bleeding in the brain over the preceding 3-4 weeks but also fresh bleeding occurring within the prior 24-48 hours. Faced with this critical situation, Sadhguru underwent emergency brain surgery on March 17 at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi to address the bleeding.

Despite being advised to go to the hospital right away, Sadhguru continued with his planned meetings on March 14, relying heavily on painkillers. However, his health deteriorated on March 11.

Sadhguru’s condition worsened rapidly, experiencing weakness in his left leg, severe headaches, and recurring vomiting. He eventually sought medical help and a CT scan showed a significant increase in brain swelling, posing a life-threatening situation as the brain shifted to one side, as Sadhguru described.

A group of doctors, including Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S. Chatterjee, took charge of Sadhguru’s care. He swiftly underwent critical brain surgery after being admitted to address the skull bleeding. Following the surgery, Sadhguru has been steadily recovering. His brain, body, and vital signs have returned to normal levels.

Sadhguru, who is currently hospitalized, thanked the PM for his concern and expressed his journey towards recovery. He concluded with a thankful note, signing off as ‘Dhanyavad (Thank you).’
