Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term as India’s prime minister on Sunday. The 73-year-old leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and his ministers took the oath of office, administered by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The new Modi 3.0 cabinet includes 72 ministers: 30 cabinet ministers, 5 ministers of state with independent charge, and 36 ministers of state.

Supporters enthusiastically cheered and chanted “Modi, Modi” as the prime minister, dressed in a white kurta and blue half-jacket, took his oath.

Senior ministers like Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Piyush Goyal also took their oaths after Modi. Their specific roles will be announced later.
