Expressing his gratitude on social media platform X, Kapoor stated, “Bayview Projects and Bhutani Infra are thrilled to have been chosen for developing the International Film Studios in Noida, UP. We are committed to realizing the vision of Hon’ble CM @myogiadityanath and transforming this Studio into a global hub for filmmakers worldwide.”
He went on to mention the studio’s comprehensive facilities, not only for filming but also for post-production. Kapoor emphasized the goal of enabling producers to enter the studio with a script and leave with the final film. Four potential developers, including T-Series, companies supported by superstar Akshay Kumar, and filmmaker Boney Kapoor, have advanced to the final round of financial evaluation for the International Film City near the upcoming Noida Airport.
T-Series (Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited), Maddock Films, Cape of Good Films LLP, and others (Supersonic Technobuild Private Limited), Bayview Projects LLP (backed by Boney Kapoor and others), and 4 Lions Films Private Limited (supported by filmmaker K C Bokadia and others) made their presentations to Uttar Pradesh government officials on Saturday.
The meeting, led by UP Industrial and Infrastructure Development Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Anil Sagar, Director Information Shishir Singh, Yamuna Expressway Authority CEO Arun Vir Singh, and project’s OSD Shailendra Bhatia, aimed to evaluate the potential developers.
Bhatia, also the Additional CEO of the local Yamuna Expressway Authority, mentioned that after opening the financial bids, the selected concessionaire’s proposal would be sent to the state government for approval.
The project’s bid was initiated on September 30, 2023, with a deadline of January 5, 2024. This marks the third attempt to attract investors for the development of the Film City after two previous rounds failed.
