How to Observe Lalita Saptami Vrat?

Lalita Saptami Vrat can be observed in the following ways:

Morning Rituals: Devotees start the day with an early morning bath, followed by meditation and prayers to Lord Ganesha. Prayers are also offered to Goddess Lalita Devi, Goddess Parvati, Goddess Shashti, Lord Kartik, Lord Shiva, and the Shaligram (a sacred representation of Lord Vishnu).

Offerings: Common offerings include coconut, rice, turmeric, sandalwood paste, gulal, flowers, and milk. While many devotees offer various items, some choose to present only flowers. In some regions, a copper vessel is placed in the puja room as part of the rituals.

Wearing the Mauli: A red thread, known as a mauli, is kept in the puja area. After completing the prayers, devotees tie this thread on their right hand as a symbol of protection and blessings.

Fasting: The fast begins at sunrise and continues until the next day’s sunrise. A single meal is consumed during the day. However, working women, students, and individuals with medical conditions may choose not to fast but still participate in prayers.

Breaking the Fast: The fast is broken the next morning after offering prayers. The fruits offered during the puja are then distributed as Prasad to the devotees.
