Reports indicate that in the wee hours, two individuals fired gunshots near Salman’s apartment in Bandra. Mumbai Police has initiated an investigation to apprehend the culprits behind this gunfire. Gunshots rang out near Salman Khan’s Mumbai home early this morning, according to police. Around 5 am, two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired five shots into the air outside Khan’s residence in Bandra before fleeing.
Police reported that one of the bullets struck the building’s first floor where Khan lives. They also mentioned that the shooters used a foreign pistol. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation and are trying to locate the culprits responsible for the shooting.
Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed that Salman Khan was the top target on a list created by incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi allegedly wanted to retaliate against Khan for his involvement in a controversial 1998 black buck hunting incident, which offended the Bishnoi community.
Bishnoi disclosed that his associate, Sampat Nehra, had been monitoring Khan’s residence in Bandra, potentially in preparation for an attack. However, Nehra was apprehended by the Special Task Force of Haryana Police.
In response to another threat made on April 11 last year, Mumbai Police upgraded Khan’s security status to Y+. Additionally, authorities issued a lookout circular (LOC) against an Indian student in the United Kingdom who was accused of sending a threatening email to Khan.

Maharashtra CM Assures Salman Khan Increased Security
On Sunday, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, talked to Salman Khan on the phone and promised him more security. This comes after two people on a bike fired shots outside Salman Khan’s home in Mumbai.
The police are looking for the suspects and beefing up security around Salman’s place, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. The Chief Minister reached out to Salman as tensions rose after the shooting.
