CBSE Exam Advisory
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began Class 10th and Class 12th board exams on Thursday. Despite ongoing farmer protests for better crop prices and agricultural reforms, a nationwide strike called ‘Bharat Bandh’ is planned by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) and central trade unions on Friday, February 16, 2024.
The strike, also known as Gramin or Grameen Bharat Bandh, will occur from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with farmers staging chakka jam on major roads from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. This strike may cause disruptions in transportation and traffic jams.
Due to the expected traffic issues, CBSE issued a notice advising students to leave early for exam centers in Delhi, where over 5.8 lakh students are taking exams across 877 centers. Students are instructed to arrive by 10 am for exams starting at 10:30 am to avoid delays caused by ongoing protests and traffic restrictions related to the “Delhi Chalo” march by farmers.
