These holidays, categorized by the RBI, apply to all banks across the country and fall into three groups: Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Bank Account Closing Holidays.

Since the holidays differ by state due to local festivals, events, and traditions, the schedule includes all Sundays, as well as the second and fourth Saturdays.

Bank Holidays in September 2024

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) sets the bank holidays in September 2024, covering those under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) holidays, and bank account closure rules for both public and private banks across the country.

Weekend Bank Holidays in September 2024
