5 Effective Yoga Poses to Eliminate Neck Hump

A neck hump, often caused by poor posture, can lead to discomfort and pain. Here are five yoga poses that can help alleviate and prevent a neck hump.

Mountain Pose (Tadasana)  This foundational pose strengthens your core and opens your chest. By stretching your shoulders back and lifting your chest, it helps reduce a humped neck.

Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana)  In this pose, you stretch your upper body and gently extend your neck backward. This action creates pressure on the hump and engages the back muscles.

Neck Rotation (Sukhasana)  A simple and effective pose, neck rotation involves slowly turning your head clockwise and counterclockwise. This movement helps relieve neck pain and reduce neck hump.

Cat-Cow Pose (Chakravakasana)  This dynamic pose enhances flexibility and core strength while improving your posture. The Cat-Cow pose is beneficial for reducing neck pain and addressing a neck hump.

Camel Pose (Ustrasana)  This chest-opening backbend stretches and strengthens your neck, back, and core. By applying pressure to these areas, Camel pose is effective in diminishing a neck hump.
